Ingredients

Smashed Potatoes

  • 1 lb baby potatoes (450 g)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • â…› teaspoon onion powder
  • â…› teaspoon salt
  • Black pepper, to taste

To Serve

Instructions

  1. Place the potatoes in a large pot and cover them with water. Add a pinch of salt if wanted, then bring to a boil.
  2. Turn down the heat and cook potatoes for 15-20 minutes until they are fork-tender.
  3. Preheat your oven to 400 °F (200 °C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  4. Drain the potatoes and line them next to each other on the baking sheet.
  5. Using a fork, potato masher or bottom of a glass, mash each potato without breaking it.
  6. Drizzle with oil and sprinkle with the spices.
  7. Place in the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes or until golden and crispy.
  8. Serve warm with fresh parsley and garlic yogurt sauce!

Notes

  • Any leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days once cooled.
  • Use your favorite herbs and spices for this recipe!
