Ingredients

Smashed Potatoes

  • 1 lb baby potatoes 450 g
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • teaspoon onion powder
  • teaspoon salt
  • Black pepper to taste

To Serve

Instructions

  • Place the potatoes in a large pot and cover them with water. Add a pinch of salt if wanted, then bring to a boil.
  • Turn down the heat and cook potatoes for 15-20 minutes until they are fork-tender.
  • Preheat your oven to 400 °F (200 °C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Drain the potatoes and line them next to each other on the baking sheet.
  • Using a fork, potato masher or bottom of a glass, mash each potato without breaking it.
  • Drizzle with oil and sprinkle with the spices.
  • Place in the preheated oven and bake for 20 minutes or until golden and crispy.
  • Serve warm with fresh parsley and garlic yogurt sauce!

Notes

  • Any leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days once cooled.
  • Use your favorite herbs and spices for this recipe!
