Wholesome Vegan Donuts
- 1 cup spelt flour (120 g)
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ cup applesauce (125 g)
- ⅓ cup maple syrup (100 g)
- ⅓ cup dairy-free yogurt (86 g)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt, optional
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and get a non-stick donut pan.
- Combine all of the dry ingredients in a bowl: flour, cinnamon, and baking powder. Add a pinch of salt if wanted.
- In another bowl, combine all of the wet ingredients: applesauce, maple syrup, yogurt, and vanilla extract. Pour over your dry ingredients and whisk until smooth.
- Spoon the mixture into your prepared donut pan and place in the preheated oven.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes until the donuts have risen beautifully and have a golden-brown top.
- Let your freshly baked donuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them onto a cooling rack. Enjoy!
