Wholesome Vegan Donuts
1cupspelt flour120 g
1teaspooncinnamon
1teaspoonbaking powder
½cupapplesauce125 g
⅓cupmaple syrup100 g
⅓cupdairy-free yogurt86 g
1teaspoonvanilla extract

Instructions
Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and get a non-stick donut pan.
Combine all of the dry ingredients in a bowl: flour, cinnamon, and baking powder. Add a pinch of salt if wanted.
In another bowl, combine all of the wet ingredients: applesauce, maple syrup, yogurt, and vanilla extract. Pour over your dry ingredients and whisk until smooth.
Spoon the mixture into your prepared donut pan and place in the preheated oven.
Bake for 10-15 minutes until the donuts have risen beautifully and have a golden-brown top.
Let your freshly baked donuts cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring them onto a cooling rack. Enjoy!
Notes
You can use all-purpose, gluten-free, or whole-wheat flour for this recipe. The texture will turn out slightly different with each.
