FAQs & tips

Can I just use onion powder or dried onion?

We wouldn’t recommend it! The main flavor contributor in the recipe is the caramelized onions. Without them, the deep umami flavor would be lost.

What if I can’t find vegan sour cream?

You can try making homemade sour cream. We have a pretty simple sour cream recipe! We’d recommend adding more cashews or a thickening agent for the right texture.

How long does this last?

Up to 4 days in the fridge in an airtight container!
