How to make easy green juice in a blender

  1. Wash and prep all the fruit and veggies. Make sure to remove the apple core and the peels and seeds from the lemons.
  2. Add all the ingredients to a large blender.
  3. Blend on high until everything is well combined, and there are no chunks left.
  4. Place an open nut milk bag into a large bowl and carefully pour the mixture into the bag. Close the nut milk bag and squeeze over the bowl to separate all the juice from the pulp.
  5. Transfer into a glass bottle or glasses and serve straight away, or keep in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  6. Note: If you don’t have a nut milk bag, pass mixture through a fine mesh sieve twice.

Storage

Keep in an airtight glass bottle for up to 2 days in the fridge. If stored longer, then the nutrients will be lost, and there’s a risk of bacterial growth. So best to drink as soon as possible!

Adjustments

Enjoy chilled or over ice! It’s delicious first thing in the morning or for a mid-afternoon refresher.

Here’s some recommended add-ins to change things up!

  • Agave syrup: add a tiny bit if you need more sweetness.
  • Cayenne pepper: just a dash for a lil kick.
  • Pear: if replacing an ingredient, use the same volume. If adding, add half a pear.
  • Pineapple: if replacing an ingredient, use the same volume. If adding, add ¼ to ½ cup.
  • Spirulina: can add around 5 grams

If you add or reduce any of the ingredients in the recipe, keep in mind you’ll get different taste results. Try to maintain 80% veggies and 20% fruits for optimal flavor. And add new ingredients in small amounts!

FAQs & tips

Is green juice healthy?

Sure is! Green juice contains amazing nutrients and vitamins from the fruits and veggies you add in.

If you can’t handle fiber well, consuming homemade juice is a great way to get these nutrients anyway.

Low-Fiber Recipes

What if I don’t have a nut milk bag?

No worries! You can use a fine mesh sieve instead of a nut milk bag. If using the sieve, pass through twice or until you strain out the pulp.

What do I do with the leftover pulp?

The easiest thing you can do is compost! There are also recipes you can find for soup and sauce bases, as well as popsicles.
