Ingredients

Quick Artisan Bread

  • 1.5 cups warm water
  • ½ tablespoon instant yeast
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 3 cups unbleached all-purpose flour

Instructions

  • Combine yeast and warm water in a large mixing bowl.
  • Add flour and salt, then mix until well incorporated with a wooden spoon.
  • Cover with a clean towel and let sit in a warm place for 2 hours until the dough doubles in volume.
  • Preheat oven to 450 °F (220 °C) and knead your dough on a floured, clean surface.
  • Shape into a roundish bread-like shape and transfer to a baking sheet.
  • Place on the middle rack of your oven and bake for 30 minutes or until slightly brown on the top and bottom.
  • Remove from oven and let cool before slicing!
