Ingredients

  • 4 slices slices whole wheat bread
  • 4 tbsp peanut butter
  • 2 ripe bananas
  • Sprinkle of cinnamon
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup optional

Instructions

  • Lay out the four slices of whole wheat bread (toasted or untoasted.)
  • Spread about 1 tbsp of peanut butter on each slice of bread, distributing it equally to cover most of the surface.
  • Peel and slice the bananas. Arrange the slices evenly on two of the bread slices. Sprinkle with cinnamon.
  • Drizzle with maple syrup if using, then place the remaining two slices of bread on top of the bananas to complete the sandwiches. Press down gently, then cut in half and serve.

Notes

  • Add a small handful of chocolate chips for added flavor if you want!
  • You can wrap each sandwich in plastic wrap or aluminum foil to store in a cool place for up to a few hours.
