Ingredients
Vegan French Toast
1cupsoy milk
3tbspchickpea flour
1tbspmaple syrup
1tspvanilla extract
1tspcinnamon
6slicesof stale bread
Canola oil or vegan butter
Instructions
Combine soy milk, chickpea flour, maple syrup, vanilla, and cinnamon in a bowl. Whisk until smooth.
Heat a pan over medium-high heat and add the oil or vegan butter.
Once the pan is hot, dip each side of the bread slices into the flour mixture.
Fry until both sides are golden brown.
Serve on a plate topped with vegan butter, vegan whipped cream, vanilla sugar, jam, or berries!
Notes
Use your favorite plant-based milk for this recipe.
Stale bread works better than fresh! Toast can also be used.
