Ingredients

Vegan French Toast

  • 1 cup soy milk
  • 3 tbsp chickpea flour
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 6 slices of stale bread
  • Canola oil or vegan butter

Instructions

  • Combine soy milk, chickpea flour, maple syrup, vanilla, and cinnamon in a bowl. Whisk until smooth.
  • Heat a pan over medium-high heat and add the oil or vegan butter.
  • Once the pan is hot, dip each side of the bread slices into the flour mixture.
  • Fry until both sides are golden brown.
  • Serve on a plate topped with vegan butter, vegan whipped cream, vanilla sugar, jam, or berries!

Notes

  • Use your favorite plant-based milk for this recipe.
  • Stale bread works better than fresh! Toast can also be used.
