Ingredients

Lemon Sorbet

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 lemons (juiced)
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  • Combine water and sugar in a saucepan. Put over medium heat and cook until the sugar is completely dissolved, stirring constantly.
  • Remove from heat and let the lemon syrup cool to room temperature.
  • Once cool, add fresh lemon juice, lemon zest, and a pinch of salt. Stir to combine.
  • Pour the lemon mixture into a shallow container, cover, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  • Once it’s completely chilled, place it in the freezer and give it a stir every 30 minutes for 3-4 hours, until you get a smooth sorbet consistency.
  • If you have an ice cream maker, skip the last step and prepare it according to the manufacturer’s instructions!
  • Scoop your homemade lemon sorbet into bowls and enjoy!
