One of the lastest and biggest trends within the health scene has definitely been the tendency to cut out gluten. Whereas there is only a small portion of people who need to do so for medical reasons, others simply feel better when avoiding this protein found in wheat, barely, and rye because most processed and unhealthy foods do contain some gluten, mainly wheat.

Unfortunately, this way of eating is often accompanied by increasing the amount of animal products or following a generally low-carb diet. We generally recommend not cutting out gluten without getting checked for a sensitvity first, since these tests can become inaccurate if you stop eating gluten before taking them. Simply eating less gluten by cutting out processed foods might already have a good effect on you, or at least introduce you to new meal ideas.

Note: Most recipes below do contain oil in their original version. We always try to emphasize keeping them low or skipping them completely, when possible. You can do the same with sugar and opt for healthier sweeteners.​
