Hey, we are Lars and Alena - the couple behind nutriciously.com. We've been eating a plant-based diet for 6 years now and we know the struggle: Wondering what to eat and then ending up making the same boring rice dish or salad all over again. What kind of recipes can I expect?

We tried to capture many different flavors from all over the world. From Mexican Burritos over Asian Curries to Italian Pasta and Pizza. Why no oil and refined sugar?

Our name ‘nutriciously’ might suggest it: We’re all about nutritious and delicious food. Oil and sugar provide you with little to no nutrients, yet pile up the calories. Our recipes are centered around whole, plant foods – the foods that have scientifically shown to prevent a whole host of diseases. While a few meals make use of slightly processed ingredients such as whole grain flour, tofu, or maple syrup, we decided to ditch the empty calories of oil and refined sugar altogether. We promise, the recipes will just be as delicious and you won’t be missing anything!

Are these recipes vegan?

Yes, all recipes are 100% vegan. No animal products are used whatsoever.

Are these recipes gluten-free?

Almost all recipes are gluten-free by default. The ones that are not can easily be tweaked to be gluten-free.

Are there any fake meat or cheese products?

No, we only use tofu and self-made cashew cheese.

Does the recipe book use weird and expensive ingredients?

You might need to buy some food that you weren’t used to before, but definitely nothing too fancy or expensive. All the ingredients in our recipes can usually be found in normal grocery stores and are often the cheapest items of all. While we believe that we didn’t use any exotic ingredients that are hard to find in most places, we obviously can’t speak for all areas of the world. Feel free to give the cookbook a try and if the ingredients turn out to be too hard for you to locate, we will be happy to issue you a refund.

Will I get weak when I cut out animal protein?

As long as you eat the right amount of calories for your needs, you will be feeling amazing. There’s no shortage of protein in plant-based foods, you rather avoid a harmful overconsumption. Most people start to really thrive on a healthy vegan diet, so please don’t worry.
